Welcome to the first issue. This is where we tell you what changed, what we learned and what to try this week. Weekly, short, and never more than one email.

What is new

  • The Scenario Map. Prima's voice was always the product; now there is a map to structure your time. A road of ten units from tourist to citizen, and eleven tracks beside it: everyday life, travel, work, school and exams, shows and anime, family and kids, social and dating, health, money and paperwork, culture and holidays, emergencies. One hundred and sixty scenes, each one played three ways depending on your level.
  • Finales and badges. The last scene of every unit is its finale. Pass it and the unit badge stays on your map for good.
  • Notifications that earn it. Off until you say yes. Then a streak nudge in the evening, a note when vault words are due, and a morning note when your minutes are back. One in the morning, one in the evening, never at night.
  • Two languages at once. Each language you learn has its own level, its own map and its own vault. The minutes bank and the streak are one.

Try this week

Open the Emergencies track and play "Call an ambulance" at your level. It is three minutes you hope never to need, and the one scene most people say they are glad they did.

A number

Eighty. The Fluency Score that opens the next scene, and why it is eighty and not ninety: we wrote it down.
